British High Commissioner to Zambia Nicholas Woolley says he is expecting a level playing field as campaigns heighten ahead of the August 12 General Election.
Mr Woolley is also advising participating political parties to debate on issues and desist from campaigns of name calling and character assassination.
He said this when he featured on special program on Radio Icengelo today.
"I think when it comes to a level playing field, I think what we want to see most of all is how political parties can access the Media, how they can address supporters, exercise the right to Freedom of speech or assembly." Mr Woolley said.
"The UK is very much hoping for an election process that is inclusive, transparent, credible and peaceful where votes are cast freely, counted credibly and the results reflect the genuine wish and will of the Zambian people." He added
